Who Are the CORTIS Members
CORTIS consists of five members: Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. They’re signed under BIGHIT MUSIC, the label behind BTS and TXT, and represented in the US by Republic Records. Their name stands for “Color Outside the Lines,” reflecting their independent approach to music. Their fandom, called COER, has grown quickly since debut, drawn to the group’s self-produced sound and genuine group chemistry.
James – The Oldest Member
James is the oldest member of CORTIS and brings serious stage presence built from years of athletic training. With a Thai-Chinese background, he speaks four languages fluently, a skill that helps CORTIS connect with global audiences. Before debuting, he spent nearly a decade in semi-professional ice hockey. James also helps shape the group’s choreography, blending his physical discipline with performance artistry on stage.
Martin – The Leader
Martin leads CORTIS and was born Martin Edwards, known in Korea as Park Woo-joo. Born in Songpa-gu, Seoul, he also spent time living in Ottawa, Canada, thanks to his Canadian father and Korean mother. Standing at 193.4 cm, he’s among the tallest idols in K-pop today. Martin has an older sister born in 2001 and brings a calm, creative leadership style to the group.
Juhoon
Juhoon is close in age to Martin and known for his strong, emotional vocals. Before joining CORTIS, he worked as a youth model, which helped build his comfort in front of cameras. His time at an international school sharpened his English fluency, useful for the group’s global reach. Fans often highlight his expressive performances as one of the most memorable parts of CORTIS’s live shows.
Seonghyeon
Seonghyeon tends to be quiet in interviews but plays a major creative role within CORTIS. He works as the group’s main topliner, meaning he writes many of their most memorable melodies. Despite his reserved personality, his musical contributions shape much of the group’s overall sound. Fans of CORTIS often point to Seonghyeon as the quiet force behind several of their most popular tracks.
Keonho – The Maknae
Keonho holds the title of maknae, making him the youngest member of CORTIS. He shares his birth year with Seonghyeon, and his Valentine’s Day birthday matches his warm, affectionate personality. As the group’s youngest, he’s often seen as the member fans feel most protective toward. His playful energy adds balance to CORTIS’s overall group dynamic during performances and interviews alike.
Height and Physical Appearance
